These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the iOS app Entwined: Shared Calendars (bundle ID com.codyturgeon.entwinedcalendars) ("Entwined", "the app"), published by Cody Turgeon ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Entwined does
Entwined lets two partners share selected calendar events with each other while each continues to use their own Apple or Google calendars. The app reads calendars on your device, uploads limited details of events from calendars you choose to share, and writes your partner's shared events into dedicated calendars on your device ("Entwined: Together" and "Entwined: Partner"). It can also group events into an "Our Time Together" block based on keywords. Our Privacy Policy explains what data is handled and how.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Entwined.
3. Your account
You sign in with Apple to pair and sync. Your account is tied to your Apple ID, so you can restore it by signing in with Apple on a new device or after reinstalling. If you choose not to sign in, the app works locally without partner sync.
You are responsible for activity under your account and on your device.
You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account.
4. Pairing and what your partner sees
You pair with a partner by sharing an invite code. Only share your invite code with the person you intend to pair with.
For calendars you choose to share, your partner will see each event's title, start time, end time, and all-day status. Think about what your event titles reveal before sharing a calendar.
You are responsible for choosing what you share. You should only share calendar information you have the right to share.
You can unpair at any time in Settings → Unpair. Your uploaded events are then deleted from our servers and your partner's events are removed from your device's Entwined calendars.
5. Subscription
Entwined offers an auto-renewing subscription at $2.99 per month or $24.99 per year (or the equivalent price shown in the App Store for your region). New subscribers get a 7-day free trial; you are charged the plan price when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. One subscription covers both partners in a paired couple; the benefit follows the subscriber's current couple and ends for a partner if the subscriber leaves the couple or the subscription expires. Premium unlocks partner sync and the "Entwined" calendars on your device. Reading your own calendars, duplicate detection, keywords and the dashboard are free, and joining a partner's invite is free.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app or deleting your Entwined account does not cancel your subscription.
Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.
We may change subscription pricing in the future; Apple will notify you of price changes as required by its rules.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use the app for anything unlawful, or to harass, stalk, or monitor someone without their consent.
Attempt to access another user's data, or interfere with or disrupt the app or its backend.
Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the app except as allowed by law.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
7. Your content
Calendar event information you share remains yours. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit it only as needed to operate the app (for example, to show it to your paired partner and sync it to their device), as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Calendar data and sync
Entwined depends on iOS calendar access, your device's settings, network connectivity, background notifications, and third-party services. Syncing may be delayed or fail. The keyword-based "Our Time Together" grouping is automatic and may not always group events the way you expect. Do not rely on Entwined as your only record of important appointments. The app writes only to its own dedicated calendars; it is designed not to edit your existing calendars.
9. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services, including Supabase (backend hosting), Expo (push notification delivery), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple (distribution, payments, and notifications). Their services are governed by their own terms.
10. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, code, and name, is owned by Cody Turgeon. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's App Store Usage Rules.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that syncing will always be accurate or timely.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, missed appointments, or lost profits, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
13. Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end the app or your access at any time, and where practical we will give notice in the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will update the "Last updated" date and post the updated Terms on this page and, for material changes, tell you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Dakota, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in South Dakota, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
16. Apple-specific terms
These points apply to the extent you download the app from the Apple App Store.
These Terms are between you and Cody Turgeon only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app (for example, your wireless data service agreement).
